The corner was broken off and lost – a fairly common occurrence.

The photos show the condition before and after the repair.

Wood with grain width matching the plate was selected, followed by gluing and shaping of the new corner.

The tinting and varnishing were executed with a 100% match to the original shade, including the artificial aging of the new finish.
